Scott here… I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I have a passion for professional photography & web development.

In the photo realm, I’ve has taken photos of hundreds of weddings and worked for thousands of commercial clients. I’m fluent in Photoshop, Capture One and a variety of other photo manipulation tools, even when sleeping.

In the Web realm, I’m a full-stack web developer with skills not only in the usual languages of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript… But also useful with a variety of other technologies including Jquery, WordPress, Mongo DB, Moment JS, Node JS, MySQL, Ajax, API usage, Firebase, Angular and React.

Coding, Photography & Business

Coding & Photography are both an art & a science! So, while they don’t seem similar, I would argue that they do have similarities. Art is what the end user sees but if you don’t master the science, the art can never mature.

Business too is a mix of hard skills and soft. Balance sheets should balance but the client just wants to know that you care about them. Clients feel compelled to ask about camera types or programming language used… but in the end, they need at least one or more of the following:

The product or service meets or exceeds their expectations & makes them look good and feel happy?
Does it increase revenue?
Does it decreases costs?

These have been my guiding principles in business.

- Santa’s Helper – Created a fun site for parents to “play” Santa to their young children. Kids can create a Christmas wish list and Santa can create a task list to get onto the “nice list”
